Inlet gas blending for monitoring-station analyzers

Temperature changes inside a monitoring station, yet the MFC still controls the true flow and keeps the analyzer supplied steadily.

The amount of gas actually delivered stays accurate when the temperature changes

Application need

In environmental monitoring stations, MFCs control the inlet gas blending of analyzers. The equipment is installed in a station room where the ambient temperature changes.

The difficulty

The analyzer needs the amount of gas actually delivered. If temperature or pressure changes and the instrument looks only at its displayed value, the true flow drifts.

What we did

The MFC controls mass (standard-condition) flow with temperature and pressure compensation, so the true flow stays accurate when the temperature changes. The temperature and pressure compensation demo on the home page shows the effect.

Status

Some customers have started using it in equipment, and others have completed tests and met their requirements. This is an area where we have built a foundation and are expanding; please talk to us while the analyzer is being developed.
