Shenzhen Vislam Instruments Co., Ltd. (“VISLAM”, “we”) operates the website www.vislam.com and is the processor of your personal information. We value your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we process when you use this website, why, how we keep and protect it, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. What we process
We only process the information needed for the following purposes:
- Inquiries you submit: the name (required), company or organization (required), phone number and email address (at least one), message, and the page you were on when you sent it, through the inquiry form. We use it to reply, help with selection and technical communication. We obtain your consent when you click submit.
- Visit statistics: the pages you visit, time of visit, browser and device type, the domain of the referring website, whether you click a download or open the inquiry form, and an approximate region derived from the network address. The network address is truncated for statistics; we do not keep the full address for this purpose. We use this to understand how the website is used and to improve it.
- Security and anti-abuse information: to prevent misuse of the inquiry form we process the network address in an irreversibly hashed form, only to limit submission frequency; summary records are kept for no more than 90 days. Our servers write access logs (network address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting, kept for about 14 days.
- Downloads: downloading product documents and software does not require signing in or giving us personal information.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
- Language preference cookie (vlang): remembers your choice of Chinese or English for 1 year and contains no personal identity information.
- Statistics cookies: we use a self-hosted Matomo tool that may set first-party cookies to tell visitors apart; their lifetime follows that tool’s defaults (visitor identifier about 13 months, session about 30 minutes). The data stays on our own server and is not shared with advertisers.
- We respect the “Do Not Track (DNT)” and “Global Privacy Control (GPC)” signals from your browser: when detected, visit statistics are not collected. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
- The login cookie of the administration area is only for our authorized staff; visitors do not receive it.
3. How we use information
- To reply to your inquiry and provide selection advice, documents and technical support.
- To analyze website use and improve content, documents and user experience.
- To keep the website and servers secure and to prevent abuse and attacks.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- We do not use your inquiry details for marketing unrelated to your inquiry; if we want to send such information we will ask for your consent separately.
4. Processors, sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information and do not disclose it publicly unless we obtain your separate consent or the law requires it.
To run the website we use cloud service providers for servers, cloud storage and content delivery (CDN), and an email service to deliver inquiry notifications. These providers may only process data on our instructions.
We may also provide information to third parties to perform a contract with you, as required by applicable law, court order or other legal process, or to protect our legitimate rights or comply with laws and regulations.
5. Where data is stored and cross-border transfer
The website and inquiry data are stored on servers located in the People’s Republic of China (Shenzhen).
If you visit the website from outside mainland China and send an inquiry, your information is transferred to mainland China for processing, for the purposes and in the ways described in this policy. When you download documents from outside mainland China, the request may be served by a nearby content delivery node; this does not involve your inquiry information.
6. How long we keep information
- Inquiry details (name, company, phone, email, message): kept for 2 years from the last contact with you, then deleted or anonymized. If you ask us to delete them we will handle the request under section 7, unless the law provides otherwise.
- Visit statistics: detailed records are kept for 25 months, after which the data is deleted or reduced to aggregates that contain no personal information.
- Email correspondence: kept for the period required by the relevant contract and by law.
- Server access logs about 14 days; form anti-abuse summary records no more than 90 days.
- Where the law provides a different retention period, that period applies.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, copy, correct and supplement your personal information, to ask us to delete it, to withdraw your consent, and to ask us to explain our processing rules. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out on the basis of consent before it was withdrawn.
You may make a request to access, correct or delete your information or to withdraw consent, and you may complain to us about how your personal information is handled. Please use the contact details at the end of this policy. After verifying your identity we will reply within 15 working days of receiving your request. Where the law requires us to keep information we cannot delete it, but we will restrict its use.

8. Security
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout. Inquiry data can only be viewed by authorized staff after signing in to the administration area, which is protected by password rules and rate limits; passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes. We keep reviewing and improving our safeguards, but no internet service can be absolutely secure. If a personal information security incident occurs we will handle it and notify you as the law requires.
9. Minors
This website is for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 14. If we find that we have collected such information without the consent of a guardian, we will delete it promptly.
10. Third-party links
The website may contain links to third-party websites. Once you leave our website we cannot control how those sites handle your personal information, so please read their privacy policies.
